Pre tax profit last year dropped to £116.1 million (2004: £144.8 million), mainly due to an increased proportion of cheaper houses. Year end net borrowings of £61.8 million (10% geared). Operating margin at 24.0% (2004: 27.1%). Plots with planning consent increased by 1, 610 plots to 13, 138 plots (4.9 years land supply) (owned: 12, 696 plots/ controlled: 442 plots).
