| Holcim reports 75 per cent profit growth for 2005 Switzerland's cement giant Holcim has reported an almost 75 per cent increase in net profit last year to CHF1.54 billion ($1.17 billion). Net sales had risen by 39.8 per cent to CHF18.468 billion. Operating profit lifted 47.3 percent to CHF 3.316 billion. Group net income (equity holders of Holcim Ltd) increases 74.8 percent to CHF 1.540 billion. Cement deliveries increased to 110.6 million tonnes compared with 102.1 million in 2004.
