New Fire-Rated AMP-Clad Door

Special-Lite has announced the availability of their new Fire-Rated AMP-Clad Door, model SL-22. The SL-22 is the perfect complement to Special-Lite's Acrylic-Modified Polyester, AMP, Flush Doors for interior applications that require a 90-minute fire door. Tested in accordance with UBC 7-2, NFPA 225, and UL 10C requirements for interior applications, the SL-22 has passed the 1½ hour positive pressure test, hose stream test, and 250°F temperature rise tests to achieve Warnock Hersey listing for fire-rating applications in the United States. The SL-22 is available with 30, 45, 60 or 90-minute fire-ratings.

Special-Lite AMP Doors provide the traditional appearance of wood, without the disadvantages of real wood. Special-Lite AMP Doors can't warp, split, peel or rot, and don't require periodic refinishing. The AMP surface offers a degree of resistance to stains, scuffs and impacts that can easily damage wood. It's also unaffected by the elements and humid environments, and offers good cleanability.

Nonfire-rated Special-Lite AMP Flush Doors are available in a Colonial style, Model SL-18, a classic 6-panel style door designed to meet the aesthetic considerations of Georgian and Colonial style architecture, and a Wood Grain style, Model SL-19, Flush Door.

The SL-22 Fire-Rated Door features the same AMP face sheet as the SL-19 Wood Grain Flush Door bonded to a mineral core with Fire Stop perimeter for secure hardware attachment. Edge capping and vision lite kits are natural finish stainless steel similar in appearance to clear anodized aluminum.
