GE Energy announces new proximity system

GE Energy has introduced its new Bently Nevada 3300 XL 50 mm Proximity System for measuring differential expansion proximities up to 1.1 inches on mid-size to large steam turbines. The new 50 mm system is a replacement for GE Energy's Bently Nevada 7200 series 50 mm and 50 mm DE transducer systems.

It offers enhanced accuracy and improved moisture resistance over a greater temperature range than the 7200 series 50 mm and greater temperature range and moisture protection than the 50 mm DE.

The 3300 XL 50 mm Proximity System is completely backward compatible with current monitor and software designs optioned for the 7200 and 50 mm DE systems. It will be offered as a replacement solution to customers currently using the 7200 series system.
