| Granite Construction had a tremendous finish to year Granite Construction Incorporated announced financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2005. Operating income increased $38.6 million to $55.8 million compared with $17.2 million for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2004. Revenue for the fourth quarter 2005 totaled a record $679.6 million compared with $540.6 million a year ago. Total gross profit as a percent of revenue increased 5.2% to 15.6%.
