Home Depot doesn’t need to wait for Hughes Supply

Hughes Supply, Inc., a leading distributor of construction, repair and maintenance-related products, announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 relating to the proposed acquisition of Hughes Supply by The Home Depot expired on February 13, 2006.

The transaction remains subject to various closing conditions, including the approval of Hughes Supply shareholders.
