Boston's Bulfinch condo project is moving forward

Boston real estate development firm Trinity Canal LLC signed a lease agreement with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority for its Parcel 1A on the corner of Canal and Causeway Streets in downtown Boston.

The parcel will be developed into condominiums, retail shops and residential parking with a groundbreaking scheduled for summer, 2006.

The Trinity project, to be called “Avenir”, will consist of 248 moderately priced condominiums, residential parking and mixed retail shops. It will include 33 units of affordable housing that will be made available to families earning between 80% and 120% of area median income. The development will also contribute significantly to the Boston Crossroads Initiative, the YMCA on the Greenway, the Bulfinch Triangle Streetscape Improvements Initiative as well as a comprehensive traffic study of the neighborhood. The development will be constructed above the MBTA Green-and Orange-line Superstation and is also located conveniently close to North Station.

Avenir is designed by Boston-based ICON architecture. Award winning interior designer, Dennis Duffy, will be designing the building’s interior.
