| Atkins secures key Highways Agency R&D and consultancy framework agreements Atkins has won places on two key framework agreements to support the Highways Agency in its work to maximise technology and innovation in order to reduce congestion and improve customer satisfaction. The five-year framework contracts will provide the opportunity for Atkins to provide technical consultancy services, including research and development (R&D), to the Agency's Safety Standards and Research Directorate (SSR), which is responsible for maintaining best practice in design, operation and maintenance of the motorway and trunk road network.
