| Messe Frankfurt in the battle against product piracy Forged products currently account for eight percent of world trade – the economic losses in Germany alone amount to €25 billion. In view of this, Messe Frankfurt has launched the 'Messe Frankfurt against Copying' campaign to stop design and product piracy at all leading trade fairs held in Frankfurt. The subject of design and product protection is also of great importance at Light+Building, International Trade Fair for Architecture and Technology, and ACS, Computer Systems in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering Industry, which will be held in parallel from 23 to 27 April 2006. Experts will be available to answer exhibitor and trade-visitor questions about design and product production on a special information stand. During Light+Building, they will be Sabina Rusconi of the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market, Trade Marks and Designs, Marcus Kühne, representative of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and Christine Lacroix of the Plagiarius anti-product piracy crusade. Supporting the 'Messe Frankfurt against Copying' campaign are the European Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market, Trade Marks and Designs (OHIM), the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Anti-Product Piracy Campaign Committee of German Industry, Aktion Plagiarius and the Intellectual Property Rights Department of German Customs. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
