Coldwell Banker’ Occidental Building is a top office redevelopment

Coldwell Banker Commercial TradeMark Properties has won a SPACE Award from the Triangle Business Journal in the category of top office redevelopment for the work on the Occidental Building, recently renamed the Coldwell Banker Building.

The building in Raleigh has been reconstructed, restoring its limestone exterior and redoing the interior mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. The original mahogany paneling, terrazzo floors and travertine granite walls were restored to their former luster. Restoration also included reconstructing and remodeling the lobby, hallway and bathrooms, sealing the existing windows, installing high-speed communications and a card-key security system, and replacing and upgrading the landscaping. Many of the site’s stately oak trees were preserved.

The Triangle Business Journal named the firm Best Place to Work in 2004 and ranked it among the top commercial real estate firms in North Carolina for 2005.
