| PBS&J wins Grand Award of Florida Engineers The Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) has named PBS&J a Grand Award recipient for the State Road 408 (East-West Expressway) Widening project. With traffic volumes on SR 408 projected to grow to 175, 000 vehicles within the next ten years—well beyond the original design capacity—the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority tasked their general engineering consultant, PBS&J, with developing design concepts that relieved congestion in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The Grand Award, which is the highest level award in FICE’s Engineering Excellence competition, will be presented during the FICE Annual Banquet in July. PBS&J has 3, 800 employees and more than 70 offices located throughout the United States and abroad. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
