NICTA signed for Leighton Properties office development

Leighton Properties and National ICT Australia Limited (NICTA) announced that they had reached agreement for NICTA to lease approximately 40% of a new office building being developed by Leighton in the western development precinct of Civic, ACT at 7 London Circuit.

NICTA will lease 6800m2 on completion in September 2007 for a period of 10 years, with the option of two further terms of 5 years each.

Leighton Properties is part of the Leighton Group. The project will be developed through Makamatta Pty Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leighton Properties.

National ICT Australia (NICTA) has a charter to build Australia’s pre-eminent Centre of Excellence for information and communications technology (ICT). It is funded by the Federal Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts and the Australian Research Council through Backing Australia’s Ability and the ICT Centre of Excellence program.
