Hill International awarded two contracts in Romania

Bucharest, Romania -- Hill International, Inc., the worldwide construction consulting firm, has been awarded two contracts to provide project management services and other technical assistance in connection with various water, wastewater, and solid waste management projects in Romania.

The first contract was awarded by the Central Finance and Contracts Unit of the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance. Under this contract, Hill and its consortium partners, Louis Berger and Beture, will be providing technical assistance and construction management services during the rehabilitation and extension of a water supply system, a sewerage network and a wastewater treatment plant in and around Ramnicu Valcea, Romania. This four-year contract has a total value of more than €4.7 million ($5.8 million).

The second contract was awarded by the Romanian Ministry of European Integration. Under this contract, Hill and its consortium partners, Eptisa and MVV Energie, will provide training and technical assistance to regional and local authorities to improve the management of solid waste in communities throughout Romania. This one-year contract has a total value of more than €1.9 million ($2.4 million).

Hill International, with nearly 800 employees in 21 offices worldwide, provides program management, project management, construction management and construction claims services. Engineering News-Record magazine recently ranked Hill as the 18th largest construction management firm in the United States.
