| New wall-mounted static grounding clamp With its flashing LED display the new safe Bond-Rite Remote wall-mounted monitoring module and grounding clamp system continually verifies that a low-resistance connection to ground is maintained in areas where potentially flammable materials are stored, handled or transferred. The Bond-Rite Remote system is flexible, it can be used with all common types of conductive plant equipment. Examples include: tanker trucks, railcars, filling equipment, drums, containers, IBC's, totes, mixing stations and dispensing equipment. All models are approved for use in hazardous locations, and conform to the requirements of all major US and international static control codes of practice. Bond-Rite Remote systems may be battery powered or line powered through a power supply unit mounted in a safe area as much as 350 feet distant. These are particularly applicable where long-term storage or dispensing is involved. Battery powered units are supplied with a quick-release mounting bracket allowing the entire unit to be removed from the hazardous area for battery changing. These battery powered units are also quite suitable for use with mobile equipment and service vehicles such as vacuum trucks, emergency response vehicles, and aircraft fuelling trucks and bowsers. In either configuration the monitoring electronics are housed in a tough corrosion-resistant stainless steel enclosure mounted on a wall directly adjacent to the unit being monitored. A flashing green LED provides assurance of a dissipation path of less than 10 ohms. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
