Siemens to build turnkey wastewater treatment plants in Romania

Acting as the general contractor, the Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services Group (I&S) is to build two turnkey wastewater treatment plants in the Romanian seaport of Constantza.

The customer is the state-owned port authority, Maritime Ports Administration S.A. Constantza (MPAC). For a waste-dump leakage treatment plant and a sewage treatment plant, Siemens is to supply and install all the systems, machinery and electrical equipment and will also be responsible for all the construction work. The order is valued at around 6.5 million euros and the new plants are scheduled to start operating at the end of 2006.
