FCC extends water management contract for AlmerĶa through 2032

The Almerķa Town Council has extended the concession for the management of municipal water services held by Aqualia, a subsidiary of the FCC Group, for twenty years. The contract extension is valued at 700 million euros.

Under the agreement, Aqualia will invest 26, 459, 177 euros in renovating and improving the supply, sanitation and water treatment infrastructures in the city of Almeria.

In addition, Aqualia will finance the cost of implementing the new desalination plant in Almeria in the amount of 7, 322, 775 euros. The facility has a water production capacity of 45, 000 m3/day.
