| Alfred McAlpine Announces £78M of Public Sector Contracts Alfred McAlpine plc, the support services group, announces that its joint venture with Impregilo and Haden Young has won a £125m contract to design, build and commission new facilities for the Oxford Churchill Hospital for the Ochre PFI consortium. Alfred McAlpine, Impregilo and Haden Young will jointly deliver the construction element of the contract, which consists of the construction of a new Cancer Centre, Surgery & Diagnostics and Private Patients’ unit on the site of the existing hospital car park. Construction will begin in December 2005 and is scheduled to complete by May 2008. In a second contract win, Alfred McAlpine has been selected as the Tier 1 National Constructor for a partnering framework agreement with Dorset County Council that should amount to over £40m over five years.
