Beijing Olympic Supplier's Program to be launched soon

As the third tier of the Beijing 2008 Sponsorship Program, the Games Supplier's Program will be launched on December 12.

The Sponsorship Program consists of three tier of support, namely the Partner, the Sponsor and the Supplier. The Sponsorship Program has been operating orderly. The solicitation for partners has been basically finished, with ten outstanding Chinese and foreign enterprises becoming partners of the Beijing 2008 Olympiad. They are Bank of China, China Netcom, SINOPAC, CNPC, China Mobile, Wolkswagen Group (China), adidas, Johnson & Johnson, Air China and PICC P&C.

The solicitation for the second segment of the Sponsorship Program has also made progress, with six enterprises signing agreements with the Beijing 2008 organizers to become the Games sponsors. They are UPS, Haier Group, SOHU, Yili Group, Tsingtao Beer and Yanjing Beer.

The sponsorship scheme covers a variety of fields and categories. Principally, all industries can become potential categories for the sponsorship, except those which are affiliated to the Beijing 2008 partners and sponsors and to members of the IOC worldwide Olympic Partner Programme (TOP), or whose products are not suitable for the Olympic sponsorship, such as hard liquor or cigarettes.
