| Fraport Completes First Phase of Renovation at FRA Fraport AG has ended the first phase of its Runway South night-time renovation project at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) due to winter weather and temperature conditions. Reconstruction work will resume next spring, proceeding from west to east along the 4, 000-meter-long runway. To prevent any disturbance to flight operations during the day, work is restricted to the night-time hours from 22:00 to 06:00 the next morning. Each night, a 15-meter section of the runway is removed and replaced with new asphalt.
