R&M released the Guardian Sucker-Rod Pump Controller

R&M Energy Systems has released the Guardian Sucker-Rod Pump Controller as an addition to the Guardian product line of digital solutions for production control. The Guardian SRP offers control of all forms of reciprocating artificial lift systems. The Guardian SRP increases production, improves energy efficiency and enhances the reliability of both new and existing pumping solutions with the integration of motor control, speed optimization, logic, pump fill control and rod load control into a single, compact solution. At any instant during the life of a well or within a pump cycle, there is a single constraint that limits production.

The Guardian SRP forces the system to operate at the particular constraint at each instant of time, thus maximizing production without compromising efficiency or reliability. Multiple constraint optimization is particularly beneficial in applications with variable inflow conditions, as in coal-bed methane, high gas/oil ratio and thermally stimulated wells.

The Guardian SRP precisely determines polished rod and down-hole pump position, velocity and load without requiring external rod position or load sensors. These sensorless system variables are observed through monitor displays or recorded as time-based graphical plots for later use and review.

Other Guardian SRP Features Include:
- Pump speed, pump fill, torque, rod load, bridle separation, power and production monitoring and control.
- Embedded drive, motor, pumping unit, rod string, flow line, tubing, casing, fluid and reservoir model.
- Fluid level monitor and control.
