Hochtief secures five projects in German

Hochtief Construction AG has been commissioned to handle five projects worth a total of more than EUR 210 million. The client is a consortium comprising Future Office Management GmbH (FOM) and LEG Baden-Württemberg mbH. The contract covers a highrise building in Munich, to be used by newspaper publishers Süddeutscher Verlag as their corporate headquarters, and various administrative buildings and multi-story carparks in Bonn, Darmstadt and Münster for subsidiaries of Deutsche Telekom.

Hochtief had already cooperated successfully with clients FOM and LEG Baden-Württemberg on the EUR 118 million Telekom Center Darmstadt project, which was handed over in May this year.

The largest part of the new contract is the erection of a new head office for newspaper publishers Süddeutscher Verlag in Munich. This will be 100 meters tall and have a gross floor area of more than 78, 000 square meters. Hochtief will commence work on this building in January next year and is scheduled to hand it over in June 2008.

The other buildings that form part of the contract will be used by Deutsche Telekom subsidiaries. One, to be erected on the Telekom complex in Bonn, is an administrative building with 61, 500 square meters of gross floor space. In the period January 2006 to March 2007, Hochtief Construction is to build two seven-floor offices complexes and a multi-story carpark in Münster, with an aggregate area of just under 35, 000 square meters. In Darmstadt, the company is to extend the Telekom Center by adding an administrative block for T-Com and a multi-story carpark. The office building, which will have 45, 000 square meters of gross floor space on seven upper and two basement floors, will be handed over in November 2007. The carpark will be ready to open in January 2007.
