| Pentalift introduces new Drive-On Ergonomic Bin Tilter Pentalift Equipment Corporation announces a new Drive-On Ergonomic Bin Tilter, designed to position parts within easy reach of a worker during unloading/loading of containers. The tilter's platform has a beveled front edge which enables a smooth, effortless entry and exit of a manual pallet truck during the positioning of product container bins onto the tilter. Once the pallet truck is removed, the bin tilter can pivot to a position that is at the optimal, ergonomically-correct height for the worker performing a loading or unloading operation. The bin tilter's ergonomically-correct positioning of part bins at workstations can improve productivity by minimizing bending, reaching, stretching and lifting operations by workers. It also reduces operator fatigue and makes cumulative trauma-type injuries less likely. The easy access also reduces the potential for damage to a product as it is placed into or removed from the container. Specifications of the Drive-On Ergonomic Bin include: - available in 2, 000 or 4, 000 lb. capacities; - a tilt capability up to 85° and - platform sizes from 38" x 40" to 50" x 48"; Design features include: - pre-wired, NEMA-12 motor and push-button controls; - maintenance-free, lubricated-for-life bearings at all pivot points; - Pentalift's precision hydraulic cylinder; - lagging brackets on the frame; and - an electro-hydraulic power unit, 230, 460/3/60 TENV motor. A 115/1/60 power unit is optionally available. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
