Hanley Wood Magazines won top honors at the industry's awards

Hanley Wood business-to-business publications were honored at two of the publishing industry's awards programs. Builder, residential architect and Custom Home finished one-two-three in the construction/design/manufacturing category of the Eddie awards. Tools of the Trade, Builder and Multifamily Executive also took four gold awards and the design-based Ozzie awards.

The Eddies are given to the best magazines in 15 business-to-business categories. Entries are judged on the creativity of their editorial, the beauty of their graphics and the quality of their production.

The Ozzies are awarded for design and Hanley Wood's Tools of the Trade took top honors in best use of photography for the March/April feature "Blade Runners." Builder also won two gold awards, including on in the competitive category of best feature design for the "Minority Report" (December 2004). Builder also won a gold and bronze award for best use of digital imagery. All together Builder won more Ozzie awards than any other magazine with a circulation of 100, 000 or more.

Finally, Hanley Wood's Marketing division won a gold award for best design for Stir, a custom publication that it produces for Sherwin Williams. HW Marketing also won for best design, new magazine in the nonprofit/institutional/custom category.
