Hitachi introduces its newly redesigned jig saw

Hitachi Power Tools unveiled its newly redesigned Variable Speed Jig Saw, the CJ110MV featuring 4-stages of orbital action, a simple tool-less blade changing system, front mounted LED light and powerful dust blower all packaged into a lightweight, 4.9 lbs, tool designed with Hitachi’s signature aggressive, ergonomic style. The first thing you notice about the CJ110MV is the very apparent aggressive design - unlike any other jig saw on the market. Hitachi’s pioneering design incorporates ergonomic considerations to make the tool more comfortable and easy to use than ever before.

Being only 4.9 lbs, it is the lightest in its class to prevent user fatigue and make maneuvering the tool much easier. The soft patented elastomer compound that covers the jig saw absorbs vibration making it easier on the arm, wrist and hand of the user. The elastomer coating also prevents slippage and provides maximum control over the tool while cutting. The curved D-shaped handle conforms to a secure grip without being bulky and is comfortable when held in many positions.

Equipped with a powerful 5.8 Amp motor, this jig saw has more than enough strength to power through the toughest materials with ease. The electronic speed control maintains strokes per minute even as load varies. A lock-on, variable speed trigger allows the user to control the speed and keep it set without having to squeeze the trigger to operate, preventing numb fingers after extended use.

The CJ110MV offers a 4-stage orbital action that increases cutting efficiency depending upon the material being cut. Its tool-less blade changing system allows the user to quickly and easily change blades. An industrial strength clamp provides an extra secure lock on the blade keeping it from loosening or popping out during use. The cast aluminum nickel plated base plate offers solid support during cutting and resists scratching the work surface during use. The base plate bevels 45 degrees to the right and left to assist in different cutting applications. New features on the CJ110MV include an LED light mounted near the blade to illuminate the workspace and improve cut-line visibility. Also, the powerful dust blower pushes sawdust and chips away from the cutting path for a cleaner, more visible work surface.

The Hitachi CJ110MV Jig Saw comes with a No. 41 blade and Allen wrench. It provides a 1” stroke length and has a maximum cutting capacity of 3/8” for metal. It is the ideal variable speed jig saw for carpenters, general contractors, metal fabricators and siding installers. Applications include cutting shapes in various wood pieces, cutting metals like mild steel, aluminum and copper, cutting synthetic resin materials like bakelite and vinyl chloride, cutting decorative sheets and thin construction materials as well as cutting stainless steel sheets.
