| New materials for design and architecture in Frankfurt  Material Vision trade fair and conference opened its doors today in Frankfurt. Both events specifically addresses industrial designers, product developers, architects, materials researchers, materials engineers and materials scouts.Talking about Material Vision, Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, Vice President for Technical Fairs at Messe Frankfurt comments: "New and innovative materials are the materials of the future. New materials constantly pose new challenges for creative thinkers like architects and designers, whose aim is to make optimum use of the functional and design properties of new materials in intelligent products or structures." The fair is focussing on innovative materials and technologies. The range of product groups on show extends from plastics, metals, ceramics and glass through wood, paper and cardboard to concrete and textiles. Also on display are new composites or materials made from renewable raw materials, nanomaterials or smart materials.
