| Barter Helps Finance New Boston Harborwalk Attraction The Boston Yacht Haven is issuing $500, 000 in trade certificates to help finance its inauguration on Boston's famous Harborwalk for the 2006 visitor season. The certificates, worth $1, 000 each, can be used for the Boston Yacht Haven's deep-water marina facilities, luxury guest rooms, oceanfront event center, and gourmet catering. The new resort complex is already one of the most photographed landmarks along the harbor. Its architecture won the Prism Award for Best Commercial Project. The barter campaign is intended to leverage the efforts of architects, engineers, exhibit designers, art directors, media producers and event organizers who will make the Boston Yacht Haven the newest favorite destination on the Harborwalk. Boston first envisioned the Harborwalk in 1984 as a continuous 43-mile trail around the historic Boston Harbor. The city is now ready to post new promotional billboards throughout Boston directing people to access points along the Harborwalk, such as the Boston Yacht Haven. The Boston Yacht Haven's trade certificates will be honored for all-barter/no-cash transactions.
