| First Design Plus competition at Material Vision This year, the Design Plus prize was awarded for the first time in association with Material Vision, the interdisciplinary conference and trade fair for new materials (to be held from 10 to 11 November 2005 in Frankfurt am Main). Companies from all over the world entered their innovations and the debut saw 211 different products from manufacturers in 17 countries. The winners of the Design Plus Award processed both new materials and materials with new characteristics in the fields of wood, textiles, ceramics, metal and plastics, which are the major Material Vision product groups. Renowned companies like Fissler, RADO Uhren, Team 7, Tupperware, Agape, REHAU, Nya nordiska textiles, Cassina, Ruckstuhl, Bodum, Royal Mosa, Bree Collection GmbH, Kahla and Merten are among the award winners. The award-winning products will be exhibited in a specially designed show area, where trade fair and conference visitors will be given an optimum overview of beautifully designed products made of new materials.
