| Skanska Safety Week was not at Zero yet October 24-30, 2005, was Skanska Safety Week, an entire week dedicated at getting Skanska closer to the long-term goal of zero accidents. Three full days without any accidents, and five business units accident-free during the full week. All over Skanska, from the jungles in Latin America to the northern parts of Finland, Skanska’s 54, 000 employees took part in different activities to highlight the need of increasing work safety. It is estimated that more than 50 accidents were effectively avoided.
