| Acrilex introduces metallic acrylic sheets Acrilex, Inc. announces its Acriglas Metallic series of acrylic sheets. The acrylic sheets are ideal for use in point of purchase displays, store fixtures, furniture, lighting, and in architectural applications where tempered glass would not be a practical material choice. It is also ideal in applications which require other acrylic products to be used in combination with the Metallics. Acrilex's Acriglas Metallic series is designed to emulate the look of bright dipped brushed anodized aluminum in easy to fabricate acrylic. The Metallics are offered in 12 standard colors and in thickness' ranging from 1/8" - ½". Sheet sizes are limited to a nominal 4' x 4' in brushed finish, and 4' x 6' in matte finish. Unlike aluminum, this product does not ding, crimp, or oxidize, and does not require a substrate or edge banding. It also can be produced in any custom metallic color without the large minimums required for custom anodizing. Acriglas Metallics acrylic sheets can be drilled, routed, laser cut, glued, formed, hot stamped, and silk-screened like any other acrylic sheet.
