| More than £230,000 awarded to Wales' historic buildings More than £233, 000 is to be shared amongst fourteen of Wales' most important. The Welsh Assembly Government grants, ranging from £1, 050 to £51, 000, have been offered to carry out essential repairs and restoration work to these buildings across Wales. The grants are offered on the recommendation of the Historic Buildings Council for Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s advisers on historic buildings. The £233, 900 funding will be shared between the following projects: Pontypool Museum, Park Buildings, Pontypool, Torfaen (£51, 000); The Malt House, St Mary’s Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire (£34, 250); The Church Institute, Park Road, Llanfairfechan, Conwy (£24, 800); Chapel at Christ College, Brecon, Powys (£24, 000); St Cadoc’s Church, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire (£24, 000); Bell View, Glanhafan, Solva, Pembrokeshire (£22, 500); Cyffdy Hall, Llanrwst, Conwy (£15, 600); Coetmor, Bryn Goodman, Ruthin, Denbighshire (£10, 500); St Mary’s Church, Ysceifiog, Holywell, Flintshire (£10, 000); No 16 Garden Suburbs, Pontywaun, Crosskeys, Caerphilly (£5, 000); The Institute, Bridge Street, Llanfair Caereinion, Powys (£3, 300); Curtain Walls, Rock Terrace, Tenby, Pembrokeshire (£2, 500); Gate to the Walled Garden at Gredington Hall, Hanmer, Whitchurch, Wrexham (£1, 050). write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
