| Hochtief Construction: Over EUR 160 m of big contracts in Eastern Europe Hochtief Construction AG won three new contracts in Eastern Europe worth a total of more than EUR 160 million. In Gdansk, Europe‘s first privately financed container port will be constructed on a turnkey basis. The project - for client DCT Gdansk - is worth over EUR 100 million. The total built-up area is 400, 000 square meters. The terminal, to be erected on an artifically backfilled pier, 800 meters long and over 300 meters wide, will be able to accommodate even the biggest container ships. The container terminal in Gdank will be built by specialists from our Marine Works unit in Germany in cooperation with personnel from our subsidiary HOCHTIEF Polska. Also in Poland, HOCHTIEF Construction is building the tallest office tower in the city of Poznan. It will be 100 meters in height and have 19 stories. The project has a contract value of over EUR 30 million and will be handed over in April 2007. On a complex with an area of 44, 000 square meters, the company is building office, hotel and retail premises, with an exclusive restaurant on the top floor. On the lower stories there will be a 4-star hotel. The clients are the Von der Heyden Group and the City of Poznan. In Hungary, HOCHTIEF Construction has been selected to build a bypass road. As leader of a consortium with its subsidiary Mélyépítö Kft., the company will build a more than 17-kilometer section of the two-lane L71 rural road on Lake Balaton. The contract is worth almost EUR 34 million. Construction work is already in progress and will be completed by June 2007. The client is the UKIG Road Management and Coordination Office.
