| Noise control solutions for floors American Micro Industries is proud to announce a line of acoustical products specifically designed to reduce the transmission of airborne and impact noise through floors. The airborne sound of voices, stereos, and loud appliances or the impact noise from footfall can easily transfer through the floor of one room to the living space below. Soundproofing the floor of your home, apartment, or condo can minimize these noisy intrusions and make your living space peaceful and quiet. The products listed below are appropriate for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial applications. Quiet Barrier is an ideal solution for reducing airborne noise transmission through floors. This heavy vinyl material, ¼ inch thick and weighing 2 lbs. per sq. ft. will block a wide range of sounds, especially those in the mid and lower ranges such as voices and heavy bass. When installed as an integral part of a floor system it will effectively lower the transmission of airborne sound between spaces by 80% or more. Quiet Barrier is available in 4ft. x 8 ft. sheets and 20, 30, and 60 ft. rolls for large scale applications. Impact Barrier is a one-step solution for reducing airborne and impact noise transmission through floors. This 1lb. vinyl material, laminated to 1/4 inch acoustical foam, is available in 20 and 30 ft. rolls. When installed under carpet, Impact Barrier will significantly reduce the sound of footfall, voices, and routine everyday noise. Insulayment is an acoustical floor underlay designed to block impact noise of footfall from traveling through a floor to the occupied spaces below. This “Green” product, composed of recycled cotton fibers, is suitable for use over most types of interior sub floors. It smoothes out minor floor imperfections, is an effective crack suppressant, and can be used under ceramic tile as well as glue-down or nail-down hardwood flooring. Insulayment is 1/8 in. thick and comes in rolls 3 ft. wide x 33 1/2 ft. long. (100 sq. ft.). Quiet Walk is an acoustic flooring underlay constructed of recycled synthetic fibers with a polyethylene film vapor barrier. Designed for use under laminate, engineered, and floating hardwood floors, Quiet Walk dampens ambient sound within the room where it is installed, but also inhibits sound from traveling into the room below. It smoothes out sub-floor imperfections, adds R-Value to chilly floors, cushions, and makes laminate floors sound more like real wood. Toughsport Floor, made from recycled rubber, is designed specifically for heavy foot traffic, durability, and easy maintenance. Appropriate for fitness rooms, health centers, food prep areas, and child care centers, the cushioning underfoot reduces overall noise for a calmer, quieter environment. Toughsport Floor is easily maintained with broom or vacuum, soap and water. It is available in 16 attractive color chip combinations and easily installed for a seamless look. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
