| MiTAC Precision Technology Breaks Ground on New Vietnam Plant The Mitac Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new production facility in Que Vo Industrial Park in Vietnam's Bac Ninh Province. MPT's Vietnam plant is the third large vertically integrated manufacturing facility for the Mitac International Group, following the establishment of factories in China's Guangdong (Mitac Shunde) and Jiangsu (Mitac Kunshan) Provinces. The new plant represents an investment of US$15 million and occupies 134, 600 square meters. The first phase of construction is set for completion in mid-2006, with production scheduled to commence in the second half of next year. The Initial focus will be on manufacturing consumer electronics products, such as printers, digital cameras, DVD players, mobile phone casings, and components.
