| Milwaukee introduces two new ½” hammer-drills Milwaukee introduces two 1/2" hammer-drills with optimized balance and ergonomics plus a comfortable two-finger trigger and soft grip handles. The hammer-drills feature a powerful 8.5 amp motor and have a durable metal gear case that withstands daily jobsite abuse. In testing these new hammer-drills lasted longer than competitive models. The new hammer-drills also increase contractor productivity by reducing drilling time on the job. The ergonomic soft tactile grip handles reduce vibration and improve comfort. A recessed selector allows the user to operate in hammering or rotation modes. In addition, the tools offer an easily accessible forward/reversing switch. Two models of the new hammer-drills are available. The 5381 is a single speed hammer-drill with 0-1, 800 RPM and 0-28, 000 BPM and comes with a 10-foot fixed cord. The tool’s speed and torque are optimized for concrete fastening. The model 5387 offers dual speed/torque to adjust to the particular application; 0-1, 000 RPM in low and 0-2, 500 RPM in high and comes with a 10-foot Quik-Lok cord for quick in-field cord changes.
