| Tikkurila to sell its coating business to Teknos Group Oy Tikkurila, part of the Kemira Group, has signed an agreement for selling its coil coating business to Teknos Group Oy. Net sales of the operations totalled approx. EUR 15 million in 2004. In the future, the coil coatings business will be transferred to a new company to be established under the name of Teknos Nova Coil Oy (TNC). The main owner of the new company is the paint manufacturer Teknos Group Oy. TNC aims to achieve the position as market leader in the Nordic countries and find growth potential in Russia and other CIS. The goal is to produce high-quality environmentally compliant products mainly for the needs of the construction industry. Coil-coated steel and aluminium sheets are used, for example, for roofs, walls and facades.
