| Manitou North America introduces its newest compact telehandler  Manitou North America is pleased to announce the MLT 627. This new Maniscopic is an update to the MLT 526 that incorporates EPA Tier II compliant engines and other value added benefits. This model continues the tradition of Manitou presenting the most comprehensive and effective solutions to the requirements and applications in agricultural and multi-purpose applications. Perkins engines continue to be featured in the entire range of product. The new TIER II engines incorporate advanced technology designed to specifically reduce the amount of particulate as set forth by EPA regulations.The hydraulic control system on the 627 has been improved, providing comfort, easy use and productivity on all hydraulic functions. The joystick control is now equipped with switches on the boom extension/retraction and auxiliary hydraulics. The switches are designed to “ramp up/ ramp down” the function providing precise control and convenience over the previous mechanical lever system. The standard torque convertor transmission with an electro-hydraulic reversing lever allows fast and precise maneuvering while putting maximum torque to the drive wheels. This model is equipped with two front and one rear cab mounted work lights in addition to the road lights previously found on all models. This further improves the operator’s ability to work in low light conditions. Combine the standard auxiliary hydraulic circuit with a flow rate of 28 gpm @ 3600 psi the use of a multitude of attachments becomes reality thus maximizing productivity.
