Bosch's Plena Loop Amplifier assists hearing-aid users

Bosch Security Systems has launched the Plena Loop Amplifier, an innovative addition to its Plena Public Address and Voice Alarm System range that provides an ideal solution for hearing-aid users in public buildings. The Loop Amplifier is the second solution next to Bosch's Integrus infrared (IR) wireless language distribution system for hearing-aid assistance and has been introduced in response to increasing legislation with respect to disability, specifically for hearing.

The EVAC-compliant Plena Loop Amplifier allows hearing-aid users in public buildings to clearly hear announcements, music or soundtracks within a given area. It is the ideal solution for integrating T-mode ('telecoil') compatibility for hearing-aid users into public address and voice alarm systems. The Loop Amplifier easily integrates into new or existing sound systems in public areas of up to 600 square meters, allowing hearing-impaired people to listen to sound with high-quality speech and music reproduction. More importantly, it provides essential support in emergency evacuation situations.

The Plena Loop Amplifier master/slave configuration supports low-spillover and quadrature system design, providing a standard solution for multiple room applications and uniform field strength over large areas. Furthermore, the loop amplifier includes important features such as Automatic Gain Control and Metal Loss Compensation as standard.

Bosch's Plena Public Address and Voice Alarm System is a comprehensive range of 'plug-and-play' elements designed for cost-effective public address and voice alarm installations in small- and medium-sized applications. The Plena Voice Alarm System is EVAC-compliant and meets the requirements of the IEC60849 standard and its national equivalents.
