Lucalor® CPVC resin: enhancing PVC performance

A special Lucalor® CPVC resin grade has been developed to blend easily with PVC in order to enhance standard PVC performance in all rigid and plasticised PVC applications. Lucalor® CPVC special resin improves properties by affording greater heat resistance, lower heat reversion, lower flame spread, and lower smoke release, whilst its benefits in sheet applications include greater flexibility, improved weldability, lower gas permeability, improved printability, and improved thermoforming. In addition, Lucalor® CPVC can be used for transparent applications, and is approved for food contact.

For these reasons, CPVC is already used extensively for various applications in which these properties are paramount:
- Waste water pipe systems
- Profiles for outdoor use: windows, cladding, etc.
- Electrical conduits
- Automotive parts
- Credit card sheet
- High flame resistance sheet
- Thermoformed sheet for high temperature sterilisation (pasteurisation)
- Flexible sheet for special printing
- Flooring compliant with stringent fire resistance and smoke release standards (transport, etc.)
- High quality fibres with excellent strength and fire resistance

As an additive to PVC compounds, Lucalor® CPVC resin is specially designed for high compatibility (miscibility), easy blending, and straightforward processing.
