| Grace Construction Products offers advanced roofing solution Roof details, such as valleys, rake edges, chimneys, ridges, skylights and dormer walls, can greatly enhance the beauty of any home. Unfortunately, they are also some of the most leak-prone areas on a roof. To prevent costly water damage, Grace Construction Products introduces Grace Roof Detail Membrane as the only solution available today designed specifically for waterproofing critical roof detail areas. Grace Roof Detail Membrane is a premier self-adhering membrane based on Grace’s industry leading Grace Ice & Water Shield® technology. A superior product to granular underlayments that may lack the ability to conform to many common roof details, Grace Roof Detail Membrane is a flexible membrane that conforms tightly to these areas, reducing the risk of water infiltration. The product is applied to the roof deck prior to the application of the finished roof covering, forming a weather-tight barrier against leaks caused by water back-up from ice dams or from wind-driven rain. The product is composed of two waterproofing materials – an aggressive rubberized asphalt adhesive backed by a layer of cross-laminate polyethylene. The rubberized asphalt layer in Grace Roof Detail Membrane seals around roofing nails so that water cannot penetrate the membrane. It is also slip-resistant, featuring an embossed surface to maximize traction and safety for applicators; will not crack, dry or rot; can be applied to all standard roof coverings; and is aesthetically pleasing since it is concealed under the finished roofing. Available in convenient pre-cut strips in widths of 9 or 18 inches, Grace Roof Deatil Membrane provides for fast and easy installation. Additionally, the product incorporates Grace’s patented RIPCORD™ technology, giving a release on demand, and features square edge cuts on the face to further simplify layout and installation. Grace Roof Detail Membrane is part of the Grace Roofing Solution and can be used in conjunction with Grace Ice & Water Shield® and Grace TRI-FLEX 30® to offer unmatched protection against the elements. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
