| Beta expands Constellation canopy luminaire line Beta Lighting has expanded its Constellation series of petroleum industry luminaries to a total of five models. The two new added fixtures include a Sag Lens model and a Directional model with a Flat Lens (see photo). The Constellation with Sag Lens allows for additional sparkle without glare. The optics meet IESNA Cutoff classification and complements the existing Full Cutoff and Cutoff optics already offered in the Constellation. All Constellation Series fixtures feature two-piece housings, including a rugged, die-cast aluminum ballast housing and separate lamp optics housing connected by a watertight, flexible power conduit. Available lamp wattages range from 175 to 400 PSMH. The new Constellation Directional fixture features the same separate optics housing as other Constellation fixtures but with a 70-watt G12 base lamp ceramic metal halide lamp installed behind a Flat Lens. The lamp can be tilted up to 40 degrees and rotated 360 degrees to aim at petroleum pumps or other ground-mounted objects. Both of the new fixtures are designed for one-person installation and can be mounted from either the bottom or top of a canopy. The lens frame with captive hinge design eases installation and relamping. A high-temperature gasket on the lens frame door ensures a weather- and insect-tight seal. The maintenance-friendly design allows easy, ground-level employee relamping (except Directional fixture). write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
