Project Qatar 2005 expected to draw 500 companies

Project Qatar 2005, the 2nd International Trade Exhibition for Construction Technology, Building Materials, Equipment and Environmental Technology is expected to attract over 500 companies from 29 countries. The event being organized by International Fairs and Promotion Qatar (Project Qatar 2005 is to be held from September 18 to 21 at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre (QIEC) set on a 15, 000 sqm). The Qatar Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has signed up as a Diamond Sponsor for the Project Qatar 2005. It has reserved a large pavilion to display its multi-billion projects and a dedicated stand has been set to call for tenders that would be open to both local and international companies.

The Ashghal pavilion covering 120 qm will showcase main projects being undertaken by Asghal during the five-year plan until 2009, like roads, buildings etc.

Fady Jreissati, IFP Qatar General Manager told a news conference on the upcoming event that Project Qatar 2005 will build on the success of the exhibition’s first edition which attracted more than 400 exhibitors from many countries. He said participants would enjoy access not only to the Qatari construction market, but to markets across the Gulf and Middle East and construction players from around the world.
