Monolithic concrete homes

There will be rebuilding along the Gulf coast but conventional construction should be discouraged. DRD Enterprises will submit a proposal to the local and federal government to build monolithic concrete homes. This type of construction utilizes unskilled labor thus locals could be put back to work immediately. The homes, similar to the dome home that withstood Hurricane Ivan in Panama City, are built entirely of steel rebar and sprayed or hand packed concrete. The entire structure roof, walls and foundation are all tied together to form a monolithic structure. In case of title surge the second floor is used as a safe haven while the first floor becomes flooded, yes belongings will be lost but the structure and foundation remain intact.
