All three come with two 1.4Ah batteries that ensure longer run time and fewer charges. All offer 2-speed transmissions controlled by a one-touch speed shift knob that allows the user to select between 0-400 or 0-1, 200 RPMs on the DS18DVF3 and DS14DVF3 models and 0-350 or 0-1, 050RPMs on the DS12DVF3. These are also some of the most compact and lightweight cordless drills in their class. Measuring just over 7.5 inches and weighing 3.3lbs (12V), 4.0lbs (14V) and 4.4 lbs (18V) respectively, they allow for greater flexibility and ease of use in tight or overhead spaces. The 1/2” keyless chuck on the DS18DVF3 and 3/8” keyless chucks on the DS14DVF3 and DS12DVF3 allows for quick and easy bit changes. A 22-stage clutch is incorporated for high torque and precision driving applications. They feature Hitachi’s patented 5-position belt hook with integrated bit holder for added convenience. And their new aggressive, ergonomic design, coupled with a non-slip rubber grip, provides more control, comfort and safety. Covered by Hitachi’s industry leading 5-year warranty, they are a safe bet for the long haul. The Hitachi DS18DVF3, DS14DVF3 and DS12DVF3 cordless drills are packaged in durable molded plastic carrying cases that include a quick charger, two 1.4 Ah batteries, flashlight and a driver bit. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
