| ERIFLEX® Grounding Braids ERICO® offers a wide range of ERIFLEX Grounding Braids made from electrolytic copper or stainless steel for earthing applications and power connections. Offerings include earth braids with integral palms, flat braids, round and tubular braids and stainless steel braids. ERIFLEX earth braids with integral palms have excellent tensile strength and achieve higher electrical contact due to the direct contact of the integral palms. The time-saving compact braids are easy to install because they can bend very close to the contact area. They offer excellent resistance to vibration and fatigue and are recommended for earthing by the EMC directives. In addition, the braids eliminate the cost of the lugs and improve RFI/EMI shielding characteristics. ERIFLEX earth braids are available in nine cross sections – 6 to 100 mm2, six lengths and nine hole diameters. They have a working temperature of up to 221°F (105°C). Flat braids from ERIFLEX come in a complete range of 16 cross sections from 3 to 100 mm2. The braids are available in tinned copper or plain copper, bare or insulated. Round and tubular braids are available from 6 to 100 mm2 in tinned or plain copper, bare or insulated. Tubular braids for screening are supplied with draw wire. The ERIFLEX line of stainless steel braids for corrosive environments is offered from 16 to 25 mm2 with a standard wire diameter of 0.25 mm. ERICO can also provide made-to-order (MTO) custom braid configurations to your drawing specifications. ERIFLEX copper braids can be made to custom lengths, widths, thicknesses and hole patterns. The braids come with PVC insulation in flat or tubular shapes in continuous coils or with soldered studs or crimped lugs. Custom lengths of MTO braid and bulk lengths up to 1, 000 feet are available. Additionally, ERICO provides press welds. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
