| New Class II, eye-safe MR L-1 Distance Laser Sensors The MRL1(H) is a powerful distance measuring instrument for integration into industrial applications. It allows accurate and contact-less distance measurement over a wide range using the reflection of a laser beam. The new Class II, eye-safe MR L-1 Distance Laser Sensors from Metrology Resource Company (MRC) is available for short and long distance measurements from 8 in. (0.2 meters) to 660 ft (200 meters). Accuracy varies from +/- 0.06 in. (+/-1.5 mm) to +/- 0.1 in. (+/- 3.0 mm), depending on the sensor. Measurement time is approximately 0.3 seconds. Measurement beam diameter varies from 6 to 60 mm (0.24 to 2.4 in.), depending on the distance measured. Applications are varied and include vehicle spotting of such items as cranes, cages in mine shafts, automatic guided vehicles; distance measurement to buildings or military targets; profiling railway tunnels, caverns, mine shafts, material sheet or towers; distance of material handling equipment such as conveyors; general level measurement in large tanks or silos; distance measurement in explosion endangered areas plus numerous others. Key features: - Measurement range 0.2 to 200 m - Serial interface (RS232 and RS422) - Connection of up to 10 modules on a single RS422 line - Wide range power supply (9...3OVDC) - Programmable analog output (O/4...2OmA) - Two programmable digital outputs - Digital output for error signalization - D-Sub connector and screw terminal for easy connection - Adapter for telescopic viewer for easy installation - 1P65 (protected against ingress of dust and water) - 4 LED5 for status signaling - Optional: Internal heater for module operation down to -40°C - Laser class II (<0.95mW) write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Construction News :: home page |
