UKCloud Health announces partnership with Shaping Cloud to accelerate digital transformation across healthcare

UKCloud Health launches ‘Transformation Accelerator’ in partnership with Shaping Cloud, using multi-cloud and trusted expertise to reduce cost and risk of digitalisation.

London – 30th September 2019 – UKCloud Health, the multi-cloud experts dedicated to powering the Healthcare community, has today announced that it is teaming up with cloud migration specialists, Shaping Cloud, to deliver ‘Transformation Accelerator’, which enables healthcare organisations to access proven multi-cloud strategy expertise alongside flexible multi-cloud technology.

Many organisations in the Health and Care sector will run the same infrastructure and applications to deliver similar services. However, beneath those commonalities, the differences become clear — each organisation’s network, security, storage, hardware refresh cycle, software licensing and, most importantly of all - people, will be at completely different levels. The vision for a more tech driven NHS is the right one yet the journey to meet that is challenging as legacy infrastructure and applications that are not fit for cloud make cloud adoption extremely complex for those tasked with delivering it.

‘Transformation Accelerator’ is designed to make it easy for healthcare organisations to address this complexity. Through a comprehensive assessment of existing IT infrastructure, an organisation’s starting position is confirmed which enables them to confidently plan their transformation. A team of experienced consultants and architects then carry out rapid discovery and analysis activities and work with key stakeholders to produce high value outputs including a comprehensive map of existing IT infrastructure, dependencies, services, and associated TCO. These artefacts alongside tailored recommendations will enable organisations to confidently inform and proceed with transformation by harnessing a combination of cloud technologies.

Together, UKCloud Health and Shaping Cloud, address the end-to-end cloud transformation lifecycle, from current & future state modelling, business case & strategy to workload migration, go-live and ongoing optimisation. Transformation Accelerator consists of three key stages – Design, Analysis and Presentation. This proven three stage process has been used for 26 public-sector strategies over the past 18 months.

Helen Gerling, Managing Director of Shaping Cloud said: “Shaping Cloud are pleased to partner with UKCloud; adding to our secure cloud options for public sector clients and supporting them with public cloud consultancy, migration, and managed service experience and skills. UKCloud Health, Director of Cloud, Cleveland Henry said “We are really excited about this new collaboration with Shaping Cloud. Our combined focus and expertise in the health and care space really amplifies the relevance of this offering to the challenges that this sector is facing. Transformation Accelerator provides an easy way for healthcare organisations to plan and deliver their digital transformation and to accelerate their adoption of cloud services whilst reducing cost and risk.”

It is available directly and via a range of frameworks including – G-Cloud, NHS Shared Business Service, YPO and Digital Outcomes and Specialists.
