T-Mobile Austria deploys TEOCO’s SmartCM to improve network operations The group contract enables SmartCM to support T-Mobile affiliates across Europe FAIRFAX, VA., USA – 14 February 2019 – TEOCO, the leading provider of analytics, assurance and optimization solutions to over 300 communication service providers (CSPs) and OEMs worldwide, has today announced the deployment of its SmartCM solution with T-Mobile Austria. The next generation Radio Access Network (RAN) configuration management tool is being used to provide the operator’s 7.2 million subscribers with a better quality of service. During 2018, the Austrian operator, owned by Deutsche Telekom Group, deployed TEOCO’s SmartCM to ensure the successful transition from their legacy systems in a short timescale. By deploying TEOCO’s solution, T-Mobile Austria can now perform accurate configuration changes in real-time, reducing operating costs and improving subscriber network quality. Furthermore, the nature of the contract with Deutsche Telekom Group will form the basis for all T-Mobile affiliates in Europe to benefit technically and commercially from the configuration management solution. TEOCO’s SmartCM solution will now automatically provide a centralized, vendor agnostic view of T-Mobile Austria’s entire network. SmartCM will automatically monitor and audit the accuracy of T-Mobile Austria’s network configuration and highlight all discrepancies. Furthermore SmartCM will also integrate any changes such as new sites, cells, parameters, and neighbours into the network via its Network Write capabilities. The solution will also further enhance T-Mobile Austria’s reporting functionality by allowing users to automate the scheduling and distribution of reports with key metrics at specified times—all without user intervention, increasing efficiency.
