Cybera launches EMEA operations as it expands globally

New SVP and GM for EMEA operations, Hubert Da Costa is appointed to spearhead EMEA growth

SLOUGH, BERKSHIRE – 9th October 2018 – Cybera, an innovative cloud-based networking company that is fundamentally changing the way distributed businesses use technology, today announced its increased investment in EMEA operations with the establishment of its EMEA headquarters in the UK. Industry veteran, Hubert Da Costa will lead the operations. Hubert brings with him a wealth of senior business, sales and marketing experience having previously held General Management and senior VP sales and channel roles in organisations at Cradlepoint, Sonus Networks, Avaya, Symbol Technologies and Motorola.

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Cybera operates at over 90, 000 locations around the world and is now keen to capitalise on its global presence with an EMEA headquarters and key staff on the ground. From this base, Cybera plans to expand its EMEA business over the coming months and years.

Cybera’s software-defined network services platform empowers organisations to rapidly deploy, secure and optimise new cloud-based applications and services. The platform is purpose-built for distributed enterprises including those in remote locations and for IoT devices. This includes enterprises in retail, hospitality, financial services, and healthcare organisations with hundreds, sometimes thousands of remote sites.

Commenting on the new HQ Jeff Manning, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Channels at Cybera says: “I’m really excited about this new opportunity as I believe Cybera is disrupting the market. Traditional approaches to networking force applications to conform to network requirements and we know this fundamentally doesn’t work in a software-based cloud and IoT world. Next gen technology demands agility. Cybera has a real stronghold in the petro-retail industry and we are rapidly expanding into other sectors, it is the right time for us to establish the new office and fuel expansion in EMEA.”

Cybera’s managed services networks are designed to meet application requirements at the edge rather than merely connect sites or devices. This modern, software-based networking approach helps ensure security and performance while reducing the cost, disruption and complexity of delivering new applications and services to widely distributed enterprises. Also, unlike traditional networking approaches, Cybera delivers secure application networks rather than site-to-site connections with VPNs. This means that with Cybera each application gets its own secure network that is both optimised and prioritised based on specific business requirements including performance and security. This approach helps minimise the cyber-threat profile and regulatory compliance scope of an organisation’s environment.

Andrew Lev, CEO at Cybera comments “Increasing hyper-connectivity in the modern enterprise, coupled with rapid expansion of the edges of the commercial environment, introduces new opportunities for companies to get closer and become more relevant to their customers. These new opportunities offer significant potential but also introduce new complexities that Cybera solves. We see particularly strong opportunity in EMEA and we have aggressive expansion plans. Based on his previous successes, I am looking forward to working with Hubert as he builds out our EMEA team, and the partner and customer ecosystem.”
