Go!Foton brings growing family of high-density fiber solutions to Europe The award-winning PEACOC (Platform with Enhanced Access for Compact Optical Connections) v3.0 will be premiered at ANGA COM Somerset, USA, 22 May 2018 – European operators looking to overcome the challenges associated with growing fiber roll-out for the 5G era are set to benefit from new high-density solutions when Go!Foton corporation, global leaders in innovative fiber connectivity solutions, debuts its state-of-the-art PEACOC v3.0 for the first time at ANGA COM 2018. Highlighting its growing portfolio of products in the high-density fiber management industry, the PEACOC v3.0 addresses architectural and business needs of fiber optic densification in telecommunications Central Offices and Data Centers that are moving toward next-generation applications such as 5G, C-RAN, and NG-PON2. The launch comes after the re-invention of the PEACOC technology family, which now comes in a new, compact OSP form factor. The move means that Go!Foton can now offer all the same attributes of improved access and superior fiber management in a compact Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) for OSP wall or pole mounted applications, creating higher densities, easier placements, and tidier fiber routing. “Our solutions aim to combat the mega trends currently re-shaping the industry for service providers, and we are pleased to offer technology that can lead the way through muddy waters of virtualization, IoT, NGPON, C-RAN and other next generation optical networking topologies, ” said Michael Zammit, VP and GM of Connectivity Solutions at Go!Foton. “Our PEACOC family is the fundamental, underlying technology of a growing family of both OSP, Central Office, and Data Center products that address all carrier challenges and offers a transformation in the optical network. The PEACOC v3.0 enables communication service providers, and data centers, to more efficiently and cost effectivity scale their optical facilities to better manage the explosive growth in optical port density.” The PEACOC v3.0 platform features a patented spreadable adapter design, optimal for fast and easy access with unparalleled accuracy. With access to both front and rear connectors from the front side of the rack mount chassis, it is easy to install into any existing 19” or 23” rack or frame. The PEACOC platform has undergone rigorous qualification testing and is fully compliant with Telcordia’s GR-449. Already widely deployed with a large, Tier 1 service provider in North America, PEACOC has quickly proven to be one of the most versatile, high-density fiber management platforms available today. The highly Flexible Cassette Tray (FleT) design of the PEACOC platform easily supports all traditional patching, patch & splice, and MPO tie-in scenarios while giving users an uncanny variety of options to tightly integrate passive optical modules such as port monitor taps, xWDM filters, and PLC splitters. PEACOC is perfectly suited for high port count applications such as CPRI tapping and Remote PHY. Its showcase at ANGA COM – which takes place in Cologne, Germany, from June 12 to 14 – will be the first time the platform has been demonstrated also marks the recognition of the PEACOC v3.0 high density fiber management platform after it won the 2018 Lightwave Innovation Reviews program in the Carrier Fiber, Cable, Enclosures and Accessories category. Distinguishing top products and solutions in the optical networking industry, the management platform was judged on originality, innovation, positive impact, scalability and cost effectiveness. “In this period of unparalleled change our broadband industry is seeing, it is important that our technologies be future-proof and PEACOC v3.0 is exactly that, ” said Zammit. “The solution, with its enhanced FleT technology, is our new approach to value added cassette modules, giving operators a new level of flexibility in the field and directly addressing the challenges they are coming face-to-face with when using small form factor connectors in high density applications.
