Push Doctor selects Onfido to power secure access to digital healthcare UK’s number 1 online doctor consultation service chooses Onfido’s Identity Verification to deliver increased safety to patients online 17th January, 2018, LONDON: Leading identity verification provider Onfido today announces that it has partnered with the UK’s number 1 online doctor consultation service, Push Doctor, to verify 100, 000 patients across the United Kingdom. Push Doctor joins Onfido’s growing roster of digital healthcare clients, including Babylon Health, Nationwide Pharmacies and Oxford Online Pharmacy. Push Doctor, founded in 2013, connects patients to over 7, 000 GMC registered UK General Practitioners for secure online video consultations. Providing prescriptions, sick notes and referral letters, Push Doctor enables patients to book an appointment and speak to a GP via their phone or computer within an average of six minutes. As a Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered service, Push Doctor partnered with Onfido to help meet regulatory guidelines and deliver the safest possible service to its users. With traditionally offline medical services increasingly moving online, Push Doctor needed a secure way to meet patient’s changing needs. Push Doctor chose to partner with Onfido to help them meet with regulatory requirements, while delivering an effective way for patients to interact with GPs. Onfido’s technology will help protect Push Doctor’s patients by verifying their identity at the point of sign up. Push Doctor users can simply upload a selfie and a photo of an identity document to complete the verification process, enabling them to easily and securely join the service. Onfido’s verification process will prevent underage patients from joining the service, and ensure medication is not prescribed to people using stolen identities. The partnership enables Push Doctor to deliver the most robust and secure service to its patients, going above and beyond current CQC requirements.
